The Chrysler's Dodge Super Bee was produced from 1968 to 1971 and was a low priced muscle car that people at that time could purchase new for $3,027. Car collectors would like to be able to get them for that now.
The Super Bee is similar to the Plymouth Road Runner but slightly heavier and had a larger wheelbase. Also the Super Bee has the bumble bee emblem that is real chrome plated, while the Road Runner bird logo would fade and peel with time.
The Super Bee was based on the Dodge Coronet and at first didn't sell well
with its high priced Hemi engine. Then in 1970 it was given a new look that turned off many buyers.
